Aberlour Child Care Trust is the largest children’s charity working solely in Scotland. Established in 1875 as an orphanage in Aberlour, Speyside, its Head Office is now is Stirling. Aberlour runs 46 services throughout Scotland reaching from Elgin in the North, to Stranraer in the South, Glasgow in the West to Edinburgh in the East.
A diverse organisation, it works with children, young people and their families who’s lives are affected by profound physical and behavioural disability, those who’s lives are affected by parental drug and alcohol misuse, children at risk of being excluded from school or their community and also provides parenting classes and early years care. It offers residential, respite and outreach care. Aberlour also runs the only safe refuge and associated outreach service in Scotland for young runaways.
Jumping from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane takes a good deal of courage. Just ask your friends, family and work colleagues how much they are prepared to pay not to jump out of an aircraft, and put that money to the cause.
