Laura Crane Trust

'Cancer is the commonest cause of non-accidental death in teenagers and young adults in the UK. The award-winning youth cancer charity, The Laura Crane Trust funds research specifically into cancers affecting 13-24 year olds and also funds measures in hospitals to improve the lives of young cancer patients both during and in the aftermath of their treatment.

This support has included funding staff to provide engaging activities and providing recreational equipment such as games consoles, TV/DVD players, MP3 players, musical instruments, art materials etc. to help fill some of the patients’ time spent in hospital and to relieve feelings of isolation.

CHATWORLD: Since Laura’s Trust was formed nearly 12 years ago, we have often heard young patients speak of feelings of isolation and loneliness - experienced by Laura herself and by other young people.  The Laura Crane Trust plans to address these feelings by creating a network where young cancer sufferers can communicate with others, throughout the UK, who are also coping with cancer, whether in hospital or at home, at all times of the day or night!

With the addition of "CHATWORLD" to the Laura Crane Trust website, we will ensure that these young cancer patients are no longer facing their fight alone!  We want to help knock down the walls of silence to enable them to network and find new friends undergoing similar experiences, young people who, like them, are facing their own personal fight against cancer.'

By pledging to do a sponsored parachute jump you can raise money for Laura Crane Trust and have the experience of a lifetime. Jumping from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane takes a good deal of courage. Just ask your friends, family and work colleagues how much they are prepared to pay not to jump out of an aircraft, and put that money to the cause.

Book your jump and start fundraising now!
