Maggie's Centres Nottingham

'Maggie's Nottingham forms part of the Joy of Living campaign: we are working towards raising £3 million for this Centre which will be built at City Hospital campus, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The campaign to build a Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham has got off to a tremendous start, with great support from the many people who want to have a Maggie’s and its programme of cancer support at their hospital. The Nottingham Evening Post has joined forces with Maggie’s and through its readers we are hoping to raise £500,000 towards our fundraising target.

Around 1.3 million people are served by the Nottingham University Hospital Trust and 4,000 people a year get a diagnosis of cancer.

We’re very fortunate to have Piers Gough of CZWG Architects on board. He has drawn up plans for a unique and uplifting building. Piers was a friend of our founder, Maggie Keswick Jencks, and joins a number of other internationally-acclaimed architects, such as Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid, who have put their inspiration and knowledge into creating a special place that will help people in Nottingham affected by cancer at a time when they need it the most.'

By pledging to do a sponsored parachute jump you can raise money for Maggie's Centres Nottingham and have the experience of a lifetime. Jumping from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane takes a good deal of courage. Just ask your friends, family and work colleagues how much they are prepared to pay not to jump out of an aircraft, and put that money to the cause.

Book your jump and start fundraising now!
