Overgate Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults in the Calderdale area. All patients have a life-limiting, advanced, progressive illness. The Hospice building is located in Elland, near Halifax. It was opened in 1981 and has 12 specialist pallitive care beds in the inpatient unit, the hospice's care reaches out into the community through the Day Hospice provision and Specialist Advice Service.
Every day of every year the hospice needs to raise £4,000 and it couldn’t be done without the help of individuals, companies, organisations raising money. This is where you can help by collecting funds for the hospice by doing a sponsored skydive.
Jumping from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane takes a good deal of courage. Just ask your friends, family and work colleagues how much they are prepared to pay not to jump out of an aircraft, and put that money to the cause.
