Height & Weight
What you need to know before you jump
Although there are not many restrictions for skydiving, weight and height are two things that are important. You can see the weight limits for our dropzones here. If you are taking part in a solo skydive (AFF or Static Line) then there is a height/weight chart on the medical declaration as well as notes explaining the required fitness level.
Tandem skydives are slightly different but weight is still a major factor. The Tandem equipment itself has a maximum all up weight limit which cannot be exceeded - this includes the tandem student as well as the instructor. Some dropzones have lighter instructors who can jump with heavier students, but in general the weight limit is 15 stone. BMI should also be taken into consideration, BPA statistics show that if a students BMI is above 27.5 they stand a greater risk of injury (approximately double the risk for a male and even greater for a female).

Be aware that if you are over the weight limit or your BMI is particularly high then it may not be possible for you to jump - this is the dropzone's decision and is made for safety reasons.
